About the Course
Prerequisites:
Must be age four by September 1st
Should be fully potty trained*
Bring backpack that includes a change of clothes, healthy snack/lunch and a water bottle to every class
Description:
In preparation for kindergarten, children will continue learning Bible stories, expanding on their shapes, colors, and letter recognition, along with development of fine motor skills and executive functioning skills. We cover how to use classroom materials correctly, and develop independence by caring for themselves and personal belongings.
Children are expected to attend class fully potty trained and wearing appropriate undergarments (rather than diapers).
*Accommodations may be available for children not fully potty trained, such as requiring parent/guardian attendance to assist with toileting.
When attending field trips, children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and have coordinated travel arrangements as we often meet on-location.
Subjects include:
Beginning literacy skills
Numbers 0-20 and counting towards 100
Tying shoes
Washing hands
Using backpacks and lunch boxes
Putting on coats

1 Lead Teacher, 1 Co-Teacher, 1 Assistant, Various Registered Volunteers
