Julean Morris

Founder & Executive Director

Julean is a dedicated early childhood education expert who has owned and managed multiple centers, influencing the educational paths of many young children. With her extensive background, she offers valuable perspectives on children's developmental requirements and the significance of a supportive environment. Julean is also actively engaged in her community, taking on leadership roles in Bible studies, Women's Counseling Groups, and various children's events, demonstrating her commitment to her church and community. Her professional expertise and community engagement makes her a tremendous asset to any educational organization.

Jenni Huston

Educational Program Director

Jenni's has a strong background in education, where she successfully developed and implemented educational programs that cater to diverse student needs. Her unique experience fostering children deepened her commitment to creating enriching learning environments for all learners.

Meet Our Teachers

Marla Hill

Early Childhood Director

I am so excited about coming on board with Buhler Christian Academy! I am married to the amazing Ron Hill, who is also the President of the BCA school board.

Our hearts are to make schools great again as we honor the Lord. We are a blended family with 7 beautiful children ranging in age from 36 to 11 and have also been blessed with 6 precious grandchildren. Our oldest daughter, Kristin, will be joining us at BCA and is excited as well.

I have been so blessed to serve in the capacity of Assistant Preschool Director and teacher at Christian Faith Center Legacy School for 4 years. Before that I was a preschool teacher at the Nampa Recreation Center for 4 years. I have worked alongside my husband as a kid's pastor for 2 years at Caldwell Christian Faith Center. I have an Associates Degree in Elementary Education and have certifications from NILD and Lee Pesky, as well as Idaho Stars trainings. More important than my qualifications is my heart. God looks at the heart. Teaching little ones was not something I had ever planned for my life, but God's plan was bigger and better! I have the best job ever! There is nothing better than teaching children about our amazing Lord and Savior and watching them grow in their identity in Him! We have the wonderful responsibility of raising up world changers who are going to turn the world upside down for His kingdom purposes!

Lisa Haveman

I have a passion for teaching children about the love and hope found in Christ! I have spent many years serving in children's ministry, assisting in elementary school classrooms, and going on mission trips to share the gospel.

My husband and I have been in Idaho for 25 years and have four teenagers. We love being outdoors and supporting all of our kids' sporting & academic events.

Maria McQueary

I have been married to my husband, Michael, since 2009. It's been wonderful 16 years. Together, and with God's help we are raising three wonderful daughters. We live in Nampa and attend the Church of Christ in Melba, ID.

I love spending time with my family; playing board games, taking long walks, going camping and having fun movie nights. I find reading, cooking, baking and gardening enjoyable and relaxing.

I am blessed to have this opportunity to teach little children, share God's word with them, and watch them grow.

Suzy Henshaw

My husband and I have been marred for 16 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters. Gwen (7 years old) and Cadence (11 years old). We attend Grace Bible in Nampa and we love our church family. I have had the blessing of working with children since I was 18. I started as a youth leader with High School kids at the church I grew up attending since birth in San Diego. I served at youth groups throughout my young adult life and truly feel that God has gifted me with a passion for kids and seeing them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

In my early 20's I worked with all ages of kids through the YMCA and other various after school programs. I have also worked along side 2 different daycare centers as the owners assistant. This will be my 3rd year working with preschoolers in a classroom setting.

Mikka Gilbert

I have been involved in education as a homeschool mom to my 3 amazing kids for the last 8+ years. I have a degree in Deaf Education. I have been working and volunteering in children's church for 12+ years. I also love to be part of the community where I can offer free workout classes for all ages.

I'm so excited to be joining the team and working with students in grades 3 through 6 this year. This is my very first year teaching, and I'm thrilled to begin this journey!

I have a big heart for kids and feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help them grow both academically and personally. I believe in creating a warm, supportive classroom where every student feels seen, encouraged, and inspired to do their best.

When I'm not in the classroom, you can usually find me spending time with my own children, out camping and enjoying nature, or growing in my faith. I truly believe that learning is a lifelong adventure, and I can't wait to explore it together with my students.

Jennifer loves kids, especially her nieces. She has a big heart and loves to serve by helping others. She is loving, kind, and very creative. Throughout the year, you will see her gather supplies to fill shoe boxes to send to children at Christmas.
